Q & A

  • Epidemic prevention related:

We do not medical certification so we are not allowed to say that it does.

We can only state that it can prevent you from PM2.5, fine particles, oil and water droplet penetrating your nose and mouth. It is washable, sterilizable, non-medical face mask.

The nano protective layer in the BRISE mask has passed the CNS15980 national anti-haze certification class B (protection air tightness> 88%, salt mist filter> 95%, oil mist filter> 90%); the filter material used has also achieved CNS14755 mask protection efficiency> 95%, CNS14775 filter efficiency> 99.9% results.

The filter material is woven with hydrophobic nanofibers, does not rely on static electricity, has excellent water repellency, and can withstand repeated washing up to 200 times.

In addition, the “monomer” of most viruses is too small, and no mask can filter out all viruses. However, viruses rarely exist alone in nature, and are usually attached to droplets, cells, oil, blood and other carriers to spread around.

Therefore, in general, choosing the anti-epidemic of masks, besides checking the ability to “bacteria” filtration rate, we should also look at the the ability of blocking these “viral vectors”, which is als the reason why the medical masks must have a “water-repellent layer”.
NO. Currently not but our manufacturer has been applying for it.

Not been tested.

These are assessments of whether the mask has the ability of Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE), Virus Filtration Efficiency (VFE) and Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE). The BFE and VFE tests are relatively low-level, and most medical masks with a water-repellent layer can pass. PFE is difficult, but PFE is also a lower-level test compared to CNS15980 anti-haze certification or N95 NIOSH inspection, because the air flux of PFE test is only 28 L / min, while CNS15980, CNS14755 or NIOSH are all used. The air flux of 85 L / min is nearly three times worse, so even if 99% of PFE is theoretically weaker than N95!

Just wear it every day and wash it once every three to five days. However, if you are in or out of a closed public place or medical institution, and you may touch the germs, it is recommended to go home and clean it immediately!

Cleaning method: It is recommended to gently wash by hand, and surfactants such as soap or detergent are required to scrub the mask on both sides to full lather. Please rub for at least 30 seconds, rinse with running water, and finally wring out excess water with appropriate strength. Then hang to dry. You can also use the washing machine to wash, but you need to use a laundry bag (a hard shell is better) for protection, and please set it to “soft wash” as much as possible to avoid certain brands of washing machines that cause excessive cleaning power and cause product damage. (Note that the anti-fog and airtight stickers do not need to be removed when washing the mask, they can be washed together)

Disinfection method: If it is not convenient to clean for a while, you can use 75% alcohol to spray evenly on both sides to sterilize enough. You can also use low heat sterilization below 80 degrees Celsius, which will not affect the filter material.

The nano protective layer in the BRISE mask, the water-repellent function comes from the layer-by-layer stacking of special water-based nanofibers. Since the filter material will be pulled during the washing process and may cause porosity lager, the anti-splashing ability may be slightly weakened with the number of cleaning times, but the hydrophobicity of the filter material itself does not change with the number of cleaning times. Can maintain a certain ability to prevent water splashing.

  • General

The recommended number of cleanings is 200. The average person cleans about every three days or once a week, so it can be used for about two years.

The recommended cleaning method is ‘gentle hand wash’. After all, the intensity of the washing machine  differs for every person. In addition, you can add a general neutral detergent (cold detergent, hand wash, shower gel, etc.) to assist in cleaning. And you can hang it to dry, but do not tumble dry or iron it!

If you still want to use the washing machine, you must put it in a laundry bag for protection, and set the washing and dehydration mode to delicate washing, which will be safer. In addition, please be careful not to twist the wire on the upper edge of the mask excessively when wringing it, to avoid the wire breaking due to improper stress.

N95 is actually an industry standard, not just a mask. The detection conditions of N95 are: non-oily particles (submicron sodium chloride) with a particle size of 0.075 micron CMD (equal to 0.26 micron MMD), and a flow rate of 85 L / min. As long as the test result reaches 95% or more, it is commonly known as the N95 mask.
And our masks use the same standard, and the test result of new products is 86.6%, which is about 90% of N95’s ability. So, if we talk about a new mask, the filtering effect of N95 is better than ours.
However, N95 masks generally use electrostatic filtering method, which can only be used for 6 to 8 hours, and cannot be washed with water or resistant to oily pollutants (kitchen fumes, exhaust gas from motor vehicles … etc.). Therefore, if we are not living in a high-risk industrial environment and just want to combat PM2.5 in daily life, the protection ability of BRISE masks do not lose to N95, in terms of overall protection efficiency.

The 3M cloth masks are used to resist wind and sand and keep warm. “There is no” ability to filter PM2.5!

General medical masks mainly use “pathogens” as the test target for filtering performance, but anti-PM2.5 masks use “submicron sodium chloride” analogous particulate pollutants in the air as the test target, both test standards are different.
If it is purely against PM2.5 particles, the initial capabilities of the two on the filter material are similar.
However, the medical mask is electrostatic disposable mask with a weak structure and poor airtightness. It cannot withstand water washing or strong air flux, and the filtration performance is not long-lasting (it is recommended to replace it within 4 hours).
The frequency of cleaning depends on your personal habits and tolerance level. Generally speaking, if you feel that the resistance to breathing increases when wearing a mask, or if you have an odor, it is the time to clean. In addition, although the layer inside the mask can be antibacterial and deodorant, it is recommended to wash it at least once a week, so as not to cause skin discomfort due to the growth of bacteria. As for when to replace the mask? If you wash it 200 times, or look at the mask towards the light source, when the inner filter material is cracked or damaged, resulting in uneven light transmission, it is time to replace it ~

Ear Strap Wire Silicone collar
Yes. Normal.
Although the exposed section of the ear strap affects the appearance, it has the following two advantages:
1.Adjustable means that the stress area of the ear strap will not be fixed in the same place, which can disperse the stress and slow down the speed of the elastic fatigue of the ear strap.
2.If the ear straps are damaged or the elasticity is fatigued, you can replace the new ear straps provided by BRISE with hair clips or iron wires without sending the mask back for repair.
